What is it?
Metron-PX is easy-to-use PC software for veterinarians
and farriers which guides the user to mark-up photos and/or radiographs
of the equine hoof. It
then computes parameters which describe the hoof conformation. Metron-PX is used to measure, track changes, compare, communicate,
and archive the hoof.
How is it used?
Images from a digital camera (or any other source)
are imported and displayed within Metron-PX.
The system then guides you (called Guided Mark-Up)
to pick certain key points in 5 supported image types.
From these picks, Metron-PX computes up to 70 parameters
describing the hoof. The horse can then be compared to a built in
database, or scored with a rule-based scoring system. There is also a Free Mark-Up capability
for marking up any image
including measurements, text notes, etc.
