In order to use Metron-U software, you need
to capture images from the video stream coming out of your
ultrasound machine. One way to do this is with the a
Sony MaviCap device. The MaviCap is a stand-alone device
that takes an analog video signal as input, and can capture
individual frames and store them. Sony recently introduced
a new MaviCap which can store the images (in JPEG format)
onto "Memory Stick", or "Compact Flash",
or onto a CD! You can then plug one of these into your
PC and import the images in Metron-U. This new Sony
MaviCap also includes a small color printer!

Another option is to use the Sony GVD-1000
digital VCR which can also capture images from an analog video
source. See the information we have assembled here.
