Here's a quick synopsis of the new features in
Metron-U 1.06 (and info about 1.07 thru 1.19 at bottom)
Metron-U can now export the marked-up image files. This means you
can export these files, then use them in another application such
as Power Point or MicroSoft Word. The images may be exported as
JPEG files or Bitmap files.
This new feature is found under the "File..." item in
the top-bar and is called "Export Images...".

Choosing that item gets you the following panel...

The images that are exported will have all the mark-up
(circled tendons and lesions, etc) as currently shown on the screen.
Metron-U can now print all the images in an exam. The printed pages
have the standard header at the top of the page (showing your clinic
address, etc). Note that this option always prints ALL the images
currently imported to the current exam. Remember that as a part
of the "Main Report" you can include a subset of images.
This printing of all images is seperate and distinct from the Main
Report.
Under the "File..." heading in the top-bar you will find
a new choice called "Print Images..."

Choosing that item gets you the following panel...

You can choose how many images to print per page --
this way you can trade off between paper & ink use and readability.
As many pages as needed will be printed.
We made a few small improvements to the formatting
of the Main Report to increase flexibility.
1. There is now a text section for "History"
so that you can write a free-form history synopsis for the case.
2. The "Clinical Exam" portion of the report
now has a scrollable text-box so that a longer write-up is possible.
1. Added "C (Colt)" and "F (Filly)"
as options in the "Sex" pull-down menu in the Horse Information
panel.
2. When creating a new exam, the default type of exam
is now a "Forelimb SDFT" exam (more common than what is
used to default to).
3. A bug was fixed which used to occur if you tried
to access certain items from the top-bar before an exam was open.
Changes in 1.07:
1. Changed all mentions of "DVM" to "VET"
because DVM is not appropriate in all english-speaking countries.
2. On the 3rd page of the Main Report, you can now
give two intervals for follow-up: One for next "clinical"
exam, and one for next "ultrasonographic" exam.
3. In converting 'birth year' to an age for racehorses,
there is now a selection in 'General Preferences' in which you can
set the month of the year when the age "increments". For
example, for users in Australia, set this to August. Example: a
horse born in 1998 will be considered 3 years old in 2002 until
August 1st, at which time the horse is considered 4 years old.
4. All of the "pull-down" lists in Metron-U
have been configured so that you absolutely cannot type into them
(rather, you must choose an item from the pull-down list). Previously,
you could type into them, but what was typed was not recorded anyway,
so it was potentially confusing.
Changes in 1.08:
5. The Exam panel was made a bit smaller. You still
need a screen which is at least 1024x768 to run Metron-U, but this
panel used to be slightly too big on some screens.
6. Fixed a bug which under some circumstances would
cause a crash when you finish the Main Report and click "Next
Step>" to go to the Generate Reports panel.
Changes in 1.09
7. The use of a contact's name (for an Owner, Vet,
etc) which had 'blanks' within the first or last name, could cause
a problem in the database. Now, Metron-U will automatically add
dashes so that names cannot have blanks in them. If you enter the
name "James Earl Jones" you'll see it appear as "James-Earl
Jones" in the menus. Similarly, you are not allowed to use
certain special characters in names, and Metron-U now checks for
these and replaces with dashes.
8. If you set the "image format" or leg
or image type settings improperly in the Exam panel, when you realize
it, you may now just go back to the "Open" panel, choose
"Exam Info" and edit the settings. Formerly, this particular
edit was not supported, so you had to delete the whole exam and
start again.
9. Prior to 1.09, Metron-U really expected all the
images in an exam to be the same size (in pixel count). Now, Metron
can handle images of different sizes within the same exam. The "layout
of the images" uses the size of the biggest image in the exam
to set the spacing -- any smaller images are then centered within
their grid space.
Changes in 1.10
10. Added a place to store a mobile or cell phone
in contact data (for owners, trainers, vets, etc).
11. Fixed a bug involving the use of split-screen
scans when the left leg is on the right, and the right leg is on
the left.
12. Fixed a bug with the "age of horses"
change made in 1.07 -- it was correct in the Horse Info panel, but
wasn't correct in the report headers. Now fixed.
Version 1.11 is a special release for use with ultrasound
machines from Products Group International.
Changes in 1.12
13. Now in the preferences panel you can set an position
where the "assignment labels" appear on the image.
14. Now in the preferences panel you can set the default
kind of images to look for: JPEG or BMP
15. A fix was made which allows the images in reports
to look better during "preview" of reports.
16. Our "Unlock Code" scheme was changed
with this release to make the codes shorter and easier to deal with.
This unfortunately means that if you are a registered user and you
upgrade to 1.12 (or later) you will have to get a new unlock code.
Of course, there is no charge for this, and now its easier.
Version 1.13 is a special release for use with ultrasound
machines from Products Group International.
Changes in 1.14
17. A bug was fixed having to do with the determination
of the Maximum Injury Zone (MIZ). Previously, only the size of lesions
was used in this determination. Now, if both legs are scanned, the
MIZ can be determined by the level at which maximum swelling is
observed relative to the 'normal' leg.
18. Fixed a potential bug (may occur randomly) in
which deleting a date would cause an error message.
Changes in 1.15
19. Fixed some small and obscure bugs -- too nitty
gritty to bore you with the details! Version 1.15 is distributed
by Products Group International, and comes configured to work well
with the SonoSite ultrasound machine.
Note on version 1.16
20. Release 1.16 is equivalent to 1.15 but is distributed
by Classic Medical Supply.
Note of version 1.17
21. Release 1.17 is equivalent to 1.15 but is a generic
EponaTech product.
Note of version 1.18
22. Release 1.18 fixed a bug in which, when indicating
which images to include in a report, not all "leg levels"
were offered.
Note on version 1.19
23. Release 1.19 fixed a couple weird bugs. One had
to do with the "assign label" not getting deleted in some
cases when it should have, and this was really confusing to the
poor user. Also fixed some bugs which caused you to get an error
pop-up box saying that a file couldn't be deleted.
