Metron-PX 3.0
(and notes on Releases 3.1, 3.2, & 3.3 at
the bottom!)
Metron-PX 3.0 is a major release with significant new features.
Existing customers can upgrade to 3.0 for only $99.
Reasons to Up-Grade to 3.0:
1) An amazing new feature in Metron-PX 3.0! The system automatically
composites the lateral radiograph with the lateral photograph so
that you can see the bones 'within' the hoof capsule. It's really
interesting to see this and to show to other to help understand
where P3 lies within the hoof. This happens automatically! (no extra
effort on your part) if you have entered the images and done the
standard Guided Mark-Up on them.

2) Metron 3.0 includes a whole new way to create multi-page reports
(in addition to the original reports). This new style gives you
more direct control over the composition of the report.
3) Metron 3.0 has the ability to be extended by adding the new
"Pro Option". The Pro Option is seperately priced and
allows multiple Metrons to share a common database, allows you to
save metron reports as PDF files, and allows the burning of CDs
directly from Metron (including CDs with reports on them, and CDs
to back-up your entire database.)
4) The new "Find Digi Cam" feature searches your computer
for attached digital cameras or compact flash card readers. This
aids in importing images from your camera.
5) Metron 3.0 allows you to set up your own "Image Views".
You add your own icons to the pallette of image views that you have
to choose from when you import new images into Metron.
6) New refinements to our scoring system: Metron now ships with
rules called "EponaTech#4" as the default rules.
7) A new "Multi-Viewer" feature so you can view 2 or
4 images side by side on the screen. Replaces the old "Open
for Compare".
8) Simpler & faster scaling of radiographs if you used the
EponaTech block when the image was taken.
Metron-PX 3.0 is also able to be expanded for users
who need to do more with Metron by purchasing the "Pro
Option" for an extra $300. Click on the small image below

New Features in Release 3.1
In addition to the items mentioned above in 3.0, a
few more things have been added in 3.1. Release 3.1 is a free upgrade
to anyone with release 3.0. Existing users can download
3.1 and install it without the need of getting a new key.
New in 3.1...
* Interface available in 6 languages! Under the "preferences"
item in the top-bar you can now switch the user-interface language
to any of: english, german, french, italian, spanish, and dutch!
If the options are "grayed-out" in your copy of Metron,
it means you need to download the language module you want from
our Languages Page.
* Version 3.1 supports the new "Metron
3D" option which is very cool -- it automatically creates
3-D models of the bones based on a standard lateral radiograph.
Introductory price is just $100 for this option.
* Version 3.1 supports the a new version of the "Pro
Option" which contains new support for the RDC
unit which is the best and easiest way to digitize your film
radiographs and get them into Metron-PX!
* A few minor bug fixes and minor improvement too
nitty to mention.
Release 3.2
Release 3.2 is in support of the new Metron-DR
option. This is used in a digital radiography system from AFP
Imaging which uses Metron as it's PACs system. It is easy to
use, the images go right into Metron for measurement and report
generation, and the images are 14-bit digital beauty. Metron-PX
with the Metron-DR Option is only available with the AFP Imaging
DigiVet Equine DR system available from Vetel
Diagnostics. More information is available on our Metron-DR

Release 3.3
Release 3.3 is again mostly in support of the new
Metron-DR option. However, there are a few things of general
interest as well:
* A powerful new image filter has been added to the
system! It is called the "Mega Filter" and was developed
right here at EponaTech world headquarters. It is a state of the
art multi-frequency-wavelet-decomposition filter! Try it to bring
the most out of radiographs. Here is an example.
* Our "Generic Reports" have been improved
and made more accessible in Metron. We have added a "Text Page"
option to these reports, and we have allowed the ability to change
font sizes in the comment fields on all pages. We have also improved
the formatting of all pages.
* The "Print" button in the Image Preparation
panel has been improved: it lets you specify the size of the margins
and wether you want the image rotated 90 degrees on the page.
