EponaTech is on a mission
to improve the soundness of the horse.

Monique Craig, President
Monique has been engaged in
researching the hoof for the past 13 years. She founded EponaTech
in 1999 in hopes of offering helpful products to vets, farriers,
and owners. She founded EponaShoe
in 2003 to develop a new flexible horse shoe. She rides, trains,
and shoes horses, and has also been acting as a farrier-consultant
over the past several years. She holds a BS degree in computer
science engineering, has won awards as an artist (sculpture
and painting), and is tri-lingual.

John Craig, Chief Engineer (with Smirnoff &
Monique)
John holds a Phd in engineering
from Stanford University and is well-know in the robotics
community. He is the author of the leading
Robotics Textbook
used at the university level for teaching the mathematics
and mechanical engineering aspects of industrial robots. Robotics
is all about joints and motion, and this is directly applicable
to equine conformation and motion.
THE BOARD OF ADVISORS
EponaTech draws on the expertese of a "Board of Advisors"
composed of veterinarians, farriers, and engineers:

Wade Byrd,
DVM - Equine Ultrasound
Wade Byrd is an expert ultrasonographer, and
a well-known veterinarian on the race tracks of southern california.
He worked with EponaTech to develop our Metron-U product.

Jeff Kerr,
Phd - Electromechanical Systems
Jeffrey Kerr holds a PhD from Stanford University
in Mechanical Engineering. He has worked for the past 20 years
in the field of robotics and automation, working and consulting
for corporate research labs, government agencies, and high
tech industries.

Michael T. Savoldi, Farrier - Hoof Research
Michael taught farrier science at Cal Poly
Pomona for 28 years and currently is the chair of the AFA's
research committee.

Tracy Turner, DVM - Equine Podiatry
Tracy Turner, DVM, MS, diplomate ACVS,
is a well known expert on equine podiatry. As a former
farrier, now a veterinarian and researcher, he has a broad
background in equine lameness issues.

James Waldsmith, DVM - Diagnostic Imaging
Jim Waldsmith runs 'The Equine Center' in
San Luis Obispo, California. He is a veterinarian with an
appreciation for what recent technological advances can do
for equine practitioners.
